About Brenda
Brenda Deere is a Master's level Psychologist (LPA), currently practicing in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 1975, Brenda received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. For the next several years, she was a "stay-at-home-mom," practicing psychology on her friends, her daughters and her husband. When her daughters went off to college, Brenda decided to pursue her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina Central University in December of 1998. She subsequently took the National Psychology Exam (the EPPP), passing it at the Doctoral level, which is a higher level than that required for Licensed Psychological Associates. She is a currently a licensed Psychological Associate (i.e., Master’s level psychologist) and Certified Health Services Provider in the state of NC, a Personal Life Coach and is a member of both the American Psychological Association and the North Carolina Association of Professional Psychologists. Many of the clients who seek out Brenda’s help are average people just trying to cope with the daily stresses and struggles of life. She is particularly interested in working with women as they struggle with issues of depression, stress, body-image problems, self-esteem issues, and mid-life/menopause transitions. She also enjoys helping women who have recently moved to the Triangle area due to job transitions or other reasons, as they deal with the stresses associated with such a move.
